Palmer papers, 1866-1872.

Original reports and correspondence from Palmer's military service in Arizona including documents supporting a claim to the Treasury Dept. for the loss of a wagon burned by Apaches between Fort Whipple and Camp Verde in1871, a a letter from Capt. H.S. Washburn, 1868, commending Palmer's medical work at Camp Lincoln, A.T. in 1866. Also present is a handwritten manuscript entitled "Notes on the Pueblo Indians of New Mexico, 1869" and a typescript of his notes on Tohono O'odham Indians (copied from the Southwest Museum, Los Angeles).
